Happy Birthday Creative Fibre, by Rose Pelvin
The challenge (non-juried display) for the Timaru Festival was to produce something relevant to the Society's (New Zealand Guild's) 40th birthday so I made a table runner with 40 birthday candles, 2 rows of 10 at each end. Our Guild also celebrates its 40th birthday this year, and we will have a Funky Fibre Exhibition in May to celebrate.
Yes, that's right Meg. Our "Funky Fibres" exhibition is in the beginning of May. I expect to be inundated with entries during the next week. Looking forward to something from you!
Marlborough Weavers meet on the third Monday of the month at Bobbin Cottage in Brayshaw Heritage Park, 26 Arthur Baker Place, (off New Renwick Road), Blenheim, or at members' homes, from February to November.
Marlborough Tapestry Weavers meet fortnightly but schedule varies so please contact us before hand.
Enquiries for both groups can be sent to this address.
If you feel unsure about how to contribute, click on the shuttle picture. Remember, older hints appear towards the bottom; newer hints towards the top.
