Wrap, by June McKenzie
When the opportunity arises I indulge in a little weaving at our bach in the Sounds. For this wrap-in-the-making I am using hand-dyed yarns, some handspun, silk and wool singles. Fine boucle stablises the open sett.
I am pleased with the handle of this piece; it is lighter than it looks. I design as I go and I like to made the two ends different.
Marlborough Weavers meet on the third Monday of the month at Bobbin Cottage in Brayshaw Heritage Park, 26 Arthur Baker Place, (off New Renwick Road), Blenheim, or at members' homes, from February to November.
Marlborough Tapestry Weavers meet fortnightly but schedule varies so please contact us before hand.
Enquiries for both groups can be sent to this address.

Weaving while on holiday - something I'd really like to do sometimes... And a good reason to look into getting a tiny loom, June!
