More September Show and Tell

Win's alpaca scarf had intricate inlay blocks of alpaca in complementary colours
and highlights of silk

Tricia must have such a wonderful stash to be able to produce a table scarf (or people scarf?) like this

This is a close up of one of Rose's cushion pieces. There were four variations of this 8 shaft twill threading.

Another of Joan's treasures, but this time it is one she wove herself using the beautiful silks from Bhutan. They stand out beautifully against the dark brown ground.

Don't we all have fun with that last piece on the end of a warp.
Chris thinks she will make a bag with this one.

Anne had some interesting effects with dye travelling where she didn't expect it, but everyone thought it looked great.

September Meeting

Lots of photos from September so they will come in several instalments. Here is the first batch of Show and Tell pieces.
Beautifully light and lovely to handle.
Win's baby blanket is made of the softest boucle.

This bamboo scarf of Judy's is soft and has a lovely handle.

Different but just as pleasing on the reverse.

Tricia had such fun finding all the different yarns and knitting this table scarf.

A work in progress from Rose. Thick and quick for cushions.
Variations on 8 shaft 4light 4dark twill.

Joan has started on a "rugs for grandchildren" project.
One down, several more to go! This one is gorgeous.

Yes, it's Chris, and no it's not crackle! This time it's a summer and winter
cosy and comfy baby blanket.

This generous sized  scarf from Anne incorporates weaving, designing, dyeing and printing, and interesting things have happened.
Keep watching for more photos soon.
