Let's check up on Peg to finish the year

It is good to know that at age 95 Peg is fit and well and still weaving.

In case you haven't seen her damask loom, here are some photos of its interior.

Do you think it's time Peg had a new tape measure?  She would dearly love to find a cloth one that can be easily pinned to her work. They all seem to be fibreglass these days.

One of Peg's latest works shows more of the damask influence in her weaving that we have seen lately.

Keep up the good work Peg; we salute you. Happy New Year everyone.
And the last word goes to the tui.

Show and Tell November

Last pictures for 2012. Here are the show and tell photos from our meeting at Dot's place. Thank you Dot for your hospitality, and best wishes for Christmas festivities to everyone.
 Judy's beautiful knitted cashmere shawl
Chris not only finished her 3 shaft pick up but did it in ime for Christmas
Win extended her 3-shaft pick to letters - very impressive!
Jan brought along a felted pendant made at a very exciting workshop
Win had finished another large throw - the second in a very short time
And Chris's favourite colours look great in this block design
Rose had made tablemats, wondering if they would sell in the Marlborough Creative Artisan's shop
But was better pleased with a couple of attempts at tatting
Look for more photos early in the New Year, and members, please send me photos of what you are weaving during the holidays.
Merry Christmas

Gift Exchange

A hand-made gift exchange is a great way to finish off the year.
