Lilliputian Shawl, by Meg Nakagawa
Cotton scarf, which I had hoped to be at least 150cm in weaving length, but turned out to be about 110cm after I underestimated (grossly) the loom waste on a borrowed loom. Ouch. Unfortunately this is a familiar problem of mine. Ergo, the Lilliputian Shawl (or cat/dog scarf). It was part of the Pics to Picks Design Challenge, in which Rose Pelvin and I took part. Details of the piece can be found here, or the lengthly process here.

I love the colours Meg. It almost looks as though you had been working from my stained glass window!
Have you seen everybody's posts, Rose? Some amazing thinking and incredible processes right under our virtual noses!
Yes I think I've seen them all now Meg. What a variety. I'm sure you didn't know what you were starting! And I hadn't thought of myself as a stirrer before. That was a surprise too!
Saw this scarf in the flesh today, and no way is it a dog [scarf]. It is simply gorgeous - rich in colour and technique, with a multitude of ways to wear it, other than multiple times around the neck or the sooo popular doubled and threaded thru style [sooo passee !]
Chris, Weiner Dog length! But it was fun trying out different ways of wearing it, indeed.
