Alpaca & Silk Twill Scarf, by Judy Bool

Alpaca & Silk Twill scarf: woven on an 8-shaft countermarche loom; a twill, based on a Maurits Escher design; epi=30; warp-2/28 camel alpaca 70%/silk 30%; weft 2/28 black alpaca.

I have been weaving since 2006, and live in the Marlborough Sounds. I am a new weaver and find it fascinating watching the intricate patterns that appear as I weave.

Lovely scarf, Judy. I might emulate you and do interesting things to the beginning/end of a scarf.

Judy, you are going to have to stop saying you are a new weaver! You seem to have skipped the "beginner" stages and gone right to the "expert" department. I really like this scarf and just wish everyone could feel it.

Lovely scarf, looks very snuggly. I had a go at hand weaving some years ago, I remember it as a long slow process, but rewarding as the patterns started to show themselves.
